Following the success of the International Marimba Festival Linz 2004, the International Marimba Competition 2006 and the Summer Academy 2007 the Classic Concert Music Group - in collaboration with the renowned International Summer Academy Salzburg - is hosting an International Marimba Festival for marimbists and multipercussionists of all ages and nationalities.
The Festival will take place at the University Mozarteum Salzburg from the July 28th to August 09th 2008 in Salzburg - the historical Austrian city, home of the composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

2008 CML Composition Competition Winners

The Classical Marimba League (CML) is pleased to announce the winners of the 2008 International Composition Competition. After one month of deliberation over submissions from 10 countries from around the world, the CML would like to congratulate the winners of the 2008 competition:

Yong Concert Artists Inc. announced that Pius Cheung - Marimba, is a First Prize winner of the 2007-2008 Young Concert Artists International Auditions.
