So Percussion is proud to announce the So Percussion Summer Institute, to be held July 25 to August 9, 2009 on the campus of Princeton University.

The Summer Institute is an intensive two-week chamber music seminar for college-aged percussionists. The four members of So Percussion serve as faculty in rehearsal, performance, and discussion of contemporary music for percussion.

The Institute emphasizes creative collaboration between composers and performers. We are thrilled to have 3 distinguished composers-in-residence at the Institute: Steve Mackey, Paul Lansky, and Dan Trueman. All are members of the Princeton faculty who have worked closely with So in the past.

Visit www.sopercussion.com/summerinstitute for more information about the festival and on how to apply.
