Leigh Howard Stevens is looking for new homes for 3 of his prized instruments.
1. Clair Omar Musser?????s personal Canterbury Marimba (low ?????A?????). The only Canterbury ever made with brass resonators; Musser made this instrument for himself and played on it from approximately 1949 to 1981 when he sold it to Leigh Howard Stevens. Black ?????Steinway finish????? bars, full set of fiber cases. Copies of several personal letters from C.O.M. to LHS dealing with the history of the instrument are included with sale. $22,000. Or best offer.
2. LHS????? personal Musser M250 with the handpicked keyboard he assembled over a 10-year period of selecting bars at the Musser factory. This is the instrument he used on his historic ?????Bach on Marimba????? recording. Full set of fiber cases. Including autographed instrument, CD and music. $12,000 or best offer.
3. First completed M450 LHS (Musser 4.6 ?????Grand Soloist Marimba?????). Handselected bars, height adjustable frame, tunable resonators on bottom octave. Used in concert by LHS for 3 years. Would be more than $10,000 new, asking $6,500 or best offer.
