11:00 Registration begins (venue map); 12:00 assembly deadline (those using trains and buses should allow enough travel time); 12:30 lecture begins (all participants). 大井: Roots of Jazz — blues approach, 2-5 motion, backing and discussion (questions and answers). 13:30 break. 13:40 Toshihiro Akamatsu: using and practising with 4 mallets — chord accompaniment, chord improvisation, solo performance and discussion (questions and answers). 14:40 break. 15:00 public lessons: groups divided by instructor, with public lessons based on assigned pieces (the pieces are distributed or announced in advance). 16:00 clinic ends; reception after moving to another location, until 18:00. Times are approximate and may vary slightly.
Ticket information
JVA members ¥4,000; general ¥5,000 (JVA membership registration is free); reception ¥3,000 (only for participants who wish to attend). Please remit payment according to the information sent later. Cancellations cannot be accepted from 9/10 onward.
