Shining’s 16th concert, Soloists and Ensemble — Kazunari Nishimura premieres a marimba work

Shining’s 16th concert, Soloists and Ensemble, is scheduled for Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Machiya Move Hall. Doors open at 18:30; the concert begins at 19:00 and is scheduled to end at 21:00. Student musicians from Tokyo music colleges and featured soloists premiere seven new works.

• Tomohiro Ueno: Riririrōdo (solo saxophone)
• Yuka Kaneda: Kasane no Toki, for wind quintet and piano (solo flute)
• Ao Kondo: Picture of Sound No. 2 (solo bass clarinet)
• Kazuki Takahata: El(e)ven for Solo Contrabass and Chamber Ensemble
• Natsuru Himeno: Concerto Variations on Five Chords , for marimba and wind ensemble
• Yota Nakamura: Wade for Piano and Ensemble
