PASIC 2026 will present a public Keyboard Masterclass led by marimba artist Greg Giannascoli. The session will focus on the music of Clair Omar Musser, whose etudes remain important both as historical marimba repertoire and as practical studies of technical and musical problems.

Selected participants will perform one approved Musser etude and receive coaching from Giannascoli. The masterclass is open to high school and university or college students. One high school applicant and two university or college applicants will be selected.

Applications close on September 15, 2026. Applicants must submit an unedited YouTube video of one approved work, must be current members of the Percussive Arts Society through November 30, 2026, and must register to attend PASIC 2026. The exact day and room for the masterclass have not yet been announced.

The approved repertoire is limited to six works:

  • Etude in B Major, Op. 6, No. 9
  • Prelude in G Major, Op. 11, No. 3
  • Whole Tone Etude, Op. 6, No. 8
