Marimbafest Australia scheduled its 2025 results announcement and prize presentation for July 16. Two awards can be confirmed from the festival director’s and composer’s public material. The competition announcement covers the 2025 categories, rounds and jury.
Confirmed awards
- Grand Prize: Justin Gao of New South Wales received a new five-octave marimba.
- Best interpretation of Adam Tan’s Happiness, the Open Class final-round compulsory work: Matt Tashima.
The organizer’s available 2025 pages do not provide a complete category-by-category ranking. Accordingly, this report does not assign other prizes or places. The prize list labelled “last year’s competition prizes” on the 2025 information page concerns 2024, not 2025.
