Kikuko Ishii is a percussionist and educator. She graduated from Kunitachi College of Music and received the grand prize at the Percussion Newcomers Concert organized by the Japan Percussion Association. Her work covers classical, popular, and contemporary music, with performances in Japan and abroad.
Ishii performs with the Tomoyuki Okada Percussion Ensemble and Shin-ichi Ueno & PHONIX Réflexion and leads the percussion groups Funny Fellows and Percussion Ensemble Letick. In 2014 she produced the album Kikuko Ishii & Percussion Ensemble Letick, followed by a release concert in 2015.
Professor in the undergraduate and graduate percussion programs at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music, vice chair of the Japan Percussion Association, and instructor for the orchestras of Senzoku Gakuen’s elementary, junior-high, and high schools (as of August 13, 2026).
