She-e Wu is a percussionist, marimbist, composer, and educator whose work includes solo performance, chamber music, orchestral appearances, commissioning, and teaching. She has appeared internationally and has worked with composers and instrument makers on new repertoire and performance resources for percussion.
Her recorded and concert repertoire ranges from contemporary percussion music to arrangements of earlier works. Among her projects is a marimba recording of the first three Bach cello suites. Wu’s own compositions include Blue Identity, K-PAX, UP!, and What the Sun Would Say to the Sky, works that are performed by percussionists and ensembles beyond her own appearances.
Education has remained central to her career alongside performance and composition. She is Associate Professor of Music and head of the percussion program at Northwestern University (as of July 15, 2026). She has also commissioned and premiered new pieces and presented clinics and masterclasses internationally.
