Description

Jane Stanley’s 2026 work for clarinet and marimba, lasting approximately five minutes.

Stanley draws on memories of the different places where she lived while growing up in Sydney. Each place is associated with a flower, including jasmine, gardenia and rose. The flowers’ scents, colours and forms carry those memories. Jasmine is conceived as the first instalment of a larger suite exploring these associations.
