I would agree with James entirely. It not about the difficulty or level of the music that play for an audition. But that you play Music!

My recommendation is to look at what you've already played..be it 2 archaic danses or Velocities. (bit of an extreme..) and pick something that shows off your current level of playing.

Personally I would recommend any of the Musser etudes, Rain Dance-by Alice Gomez, a Bach transcription, or if you have the chops, Mexican Dance no. 1 by Gordon Stout. I wouldnt attempt anything more difficult than that. But I think you should look at Musser etude 8 or 9, or the rain dance.

Also, I wouldnt worry about a 2 mallet piece..that can be shown off with scales. Which, you might want to consider doing scales in 3 octaves, then the arpeggio, then the inversion arpeggios. It just shows off a bit more skill.
