You couldn't pay me enough to experiment with tuning for the first time, on an instrument I need for performances. If you really think this (tuning) is something to get into, find yourself an old "beater" instrument on eBay, and have at it. Consult an established tuner (if they're available for such consultation) for advice and suggestions - for example, dealing with the fact that (as I understand it) the dust created when working with rosewood, is dangerous to one's health.
