I will be playing the first movement of the Ewazen Marimba concerto in a concerto competition, and I was curious if anyone knows the intended performance tempo for the allegro vivace sections in the 1st movement. Id really like to hear a recording, but im pretty sure it has not yet been professionally recorded. I know She e Wu has performed it numerous times, and im hoping someone out there has or has access to recordings of her performances. Its an amazing work, but im worried i might be taking the 1st movement a bit too fast.
