I think the Ewazen Concerto would be a good choice. I heard She-e's recording of it last summer when i was studying with LHS. I am not sure if She-e's recording of the Ewazen or her album is out yet. I would recommend that you give Sue Giambalvo at Resonator Records a call to find out {732-744-0011}.
As far as a concerto that will be musically significant and something that other instrumentalists will find easy to listen to, I highly recommend Ney Rosauro's Concerto for Marimba and Orchestra {1986}.
