Litophones, yes, I didn't mention, that the guy who's building and tuning these instruments, prepaired a friends marimba whith his pedalsystem. It of course was necessesary to modify the cordholders of the marimba. It works at best, you may gradually encrease the dampening.

By the way: I had the opportunity, three year ago, to play and support another litophone, also build in Switzerland by engineers of the University of natural sciences in Zurich: Knowing the todays standart of the gramorimba there is no comparison! This a well tuned, extreme equilibrated instrument over all registers. Let's see if I can send you an aiff-file of a (future) project take where the gramorimba is a part of it.
