I don't have much experience with different types of keys but I can tell you what I know. At my school we have Acoustalon. They have a richer, wetter sound than the Paduak keys (which i have at home). Paduak keys are a little bit narrower than Acoustalon, just enough for you to notice but not enough to make a big difference.

I'd say it really depends on the type of sound you are looking for. Also, my marimba is in a corner where the longer resonanting sound of the Acoustalon would turn muddy. The Paduak has a very dry sound that dies out rather quickly.
