There are alot of places where you can get a good education, here are just the few that I am familar with:
-Royal Academy of Music: (Leigh Howard Stevens, Neil Percy [principal, London Symphony], Kurt-Hans Goedicke [timpani, london symphony], Simon Carrington [timpani, london philharmonic], Peter Erskine, and many more.
-Amsterdam Conservatory: members of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra.
These are my favorites, but there is also the Royal College of Music, the Conservatory of Music and Dance of Paris, the Bruckner University in Austria (Bogdan Bacanu teaches there), ummm, so many more.
