Thank you for all the helpful information, guys.
The school I went for my under-grad(Toho in Japan) had two separated majors(marimba and percussion).
Since I was focusing on marimba so much, I feel more comfortable performing mallet pieces than anything else.
I don't hate percussion, but I'm always frustrated by my unbalanced performance skill.
May be it's time to rethink and solve this problem...
By the way, I heard San Diego State University(Prof.Steven Schick) is also a great player and teacher.
I'm excited about taking private lessons from many great players!!!!
