i practice piano and marimba everyday in my second floor apartment. there is no good answer. i have never removed the resonators. people can hear it depending on your walls, but if you sound good and they like it... no problem. you can get a few blankets and soundproofing to put underneath and behind it... i wouldn't stress over it. go to your neighbors before they caom to you. give them you number and tell them not to hesitate to call if it ever bothers them. that alone will earn their respect and you may likely never hear the phone ring. i practice alot starting at 2am... though i do not usually practice my fff hard mallets stuff at this hour ;0
