Imagine.
(Listen - to the instrument, to each bar, to each mallet, to each resonator, to other instruments, other players, other musics. Consider - all aspects of tone production, dynamics, articulation, phrasing, stroke height and speed.
Imagine - qualities of the sound you want to achieve, the possible orchestration of each phrase.)
