I might be rather too slow to comment on this subject but this might be useful info. for people who are interested in Guatemalan Marimbas and I have to comment.

It is true we can obtain some of Guatemalan ensemble written music through some sources, but as long as I could, at most for 3 to 5 players' play use and obtainable pieces were limited.

In the past through Guatemalan Honorary Consulate of General,Mr.Nakajima's help, I had obtained several genuine Guatemalan marimba pieces as well as some of best recordings dabbed tapes from him. I had to know written musice in Guatemala City music shop was mainly a kind of
copies of hand written each music " Theme " or main melody part only with aurhorized copy stamps. People can buy that only theme part normally and after that ? Consider ensemble and try to play by 4 to 8 players mostly by ad.lib approach. So, rather than trying to gather well organized written musics, seeking for good recordings and repeatedly listen to them and try to dissemble each part and Learn the
tag or their typical ensemble or ad. lib method seems to be very troublesome process, but might be the best way to feel and actually try to enjoy their pieces. Typical plays can be listened for example, by :
