I'm new here and have lots of questions. I'm not sure if they've been covered in the past. Here's my first question: The marimbas that are in my price range are made of either kelon or paduak. I know it's hard to describe the sound but can anyone tell me some of the basic sound charistics of between the two. I've only played on a rosewood mariba at my school but I need to get my own instrument to play gigs in a latin band so projection is a impoprtant consideration.
