I'll start a separate topic about it. regarding the strength issue, I'm getting better at it. I'm using the Stevens grip. It was challenging at first but now it's starting to feel real natural. My biggest strength issue is still the first mallet. I play in a rock band, and sometimes I need to really pound out low fifths and octaves (a.k.a. Power chords). Too often, the #2 mallet is louder than #1. Moderator, I'm still not getting email notifications from this list. I think something's broken.
