Hi - I have picked out a lot of stuff for some subscription concerts coming up in the fall. The big pieces are Hunganrian Rhapsody by Popper (cello), Tzigane by Ravel (violin) and Paganini Personal by Ichiyanagi. Also playing a lot of short stuff at the end of the concert: Flight of the Bumblebee, Tico Tico, Carnival of Venice, Chopin's Minute Waltz and Xylophonia. It seems like all schlock but audiences love it. You should listen to a lot of romantic works and just pick a couple that really turn you on (and that work on the marimba so they sound smooth). Also all the Musser stuff is great and so are the Green rags and Kreisler show pieces. Good luck. Greg
