Miyoshi's Torse III is an excellent piece and a good introduction to the core of Japanese marimba repertoire. There are a few commercial recordings available, but the best is probably Keiko Abe's.
The piece is in four movements: a fairly sparse Thesis, a beautiful Song, a very fleet Commentary, and a summary Synthesis . It's fairly atonal, yet extremely musical and well worth the effort.
Miyoshi's Conversation is an earlier and somewhat easier and more obvious piece.
