Hello replacing cord is easy, musser sells cord I think Steve Weiss music in Phila. PA sells it. I replace cord using either tape in the ends, or using a needle to push through the bars. also for a more cost effective solution go to any home improvement store and they should sell many kinds that may fit your needs. I measure legnth needed by placing string over instrument where you will be stringing and then taking half of this legnth run from high end of instrument to low end. I find it easier to not take the bars off of the instrument. I hope my reply helped you and if you have any questions, E-Mail me.

Bill.
