I, too, have yet to find any six-mallet music I thought was worth the effort. The common usage of Abe, Yuyama, etc. of fixed voicing in parallel motion is technically simple, but musically uninteresting. Dean Gronemeier developed some good technical ideas for a Stevens-based six-mallet grip (see Percussive Notes archives), but those advances have not yet contributed any quality repertoire, either.

The original version of Miyoshi's Torse 3, surely one of, if not the most significant pieces from the 1968-era, had a few 5-mallet chords, but those were revised out of the printed edition, without great loss.

Evan Hause's Circe is the latest and most advanced use of six-mallets I have seen, but ultimately I'm still not convinced of the musical value versus effort result.
