Hi,
Thank you very much for your comments! Actually, I had found that Zeltsman page before writing the piece - it was very useful. (The reason I thought that excerpt might have been difficult was because a xylophone player once told me that one of the hardest things to do on the xylophone was to play things, for example scales, in octaves with alternate sticks...maybe I misinterpreted).
