Just a guess, but with that spelling, perhaps "Quantas" is Australian rosewood?

P.S. Pedro -- Yamaha marimbas were definitely designed with different objectives in mind than most marimbas, primarily that of projection and clarity. I, too, have owned nearly every marimba out there (Deagan, Kori, Yamaha, Malletech, and Adams, so far). The main thing I have noticed is that while models have general trends, each instrument and set of bars is practically unique.
P.P.S. Why is it that Malletech can't decide how to spell "Stiletto, Stilletto?"
