Hi Lindsay, sorry to be late with a suggestion but I don't come here that often. I try to keep a few concerti ready for orchestras that either don't have a bunch of rehearsal time or are not up to something really hard (also stuff that will please an audience). For these I offer either the Mayuzumi or Hovhaness (and play on marimba or xylophone acoording to where the performance is and what is available). You should have no problem with these considering the rep. you are doing-they both go over with audiences and conductors. Something that is very effective, not super hard for the marimba but difficult for the orchesta is Paganini Personal by Ichiyanagi...there is a chamber version for smaller orchestra that is out now and it is beter because I had to work very hard to be heard with the original, full orchestra version (piano reduction is difficult and so is the piano part in the orchestra version). If you like Cello music the Hungarian Rhapsody by Popper is great, not too hard to put together and audiences love it. You could always do the Creston. Good luck, Greg
