finally a post worth replying to!!!!

well if you're looking for suggestions about specific lines from each company..Im the guy to tell ya! Ive got tons of experience with every mallet brand (Im a mallet freak..always looking for that "perfect" sound)

Innovative and Malletech make great mallets, but so do other brands..look into the Nancy Zseltsman series (better than Innovatives soloists) from Encore, and the Contemporary Series from Balter..those are GREAT!

Anyhoos...here goes a description of of the mallets from Innovative and Malletech

I'll start with Innovative
I'll skip the soloists since you already have those..

Mark Fords-AWESOME MALLET!!! the med-hard is great..good wieght (not too light, not to heavy)..the sound is really warm, even in the upper range..they are too soft to begin with but harden up really nicely!

Rosauros-nice dark articulate sound...crappy rattan shafts!

Moerschs-heavy, takes a beating, but nothing special.. (two-toned)

Casellas-very nice generals in each hardness..not as heavy as the field series, but still some weight..Im not too experienced with them though

Fields..heavy, but very nice..a personal favorite..careful though, they have great sound but its realy easy to damage rosewood bars with them. I dont know of any pro who uses field mallets for solo work...I like em though..

Robin Engleman-just for ensembles, dont bother..

MALLETECH!!!

Stevens-AWESOME!! my favorite, but use them lightly..i.e. no drumline...also they are super easy to overplay on..(Multitones)

Concerto series-nothing special..its nice that they'll never fray though (Multi toned)

Soloists-like Innovative soloists, I havent used them..so..

Burrit-very nice, a mix between the stevens mallets and the Concertos (Multitoned)

Stouts...ick, they are definately nothing special at all..

Wus...very NICE, great warm sound!

I think thats all..not sure though
this is way to long!
