I'll take your word on the Stout Mallets, I only got a chance to play them for a few minutes..so I cant really say Im an expert..I just didnt really like their sound all that much, they are too "hitty" I guess, I just didnt like their sound.

I also agree with you on Malletech's consistency, no 2 stevens mallets are the same, heck the rubber came off the head on mine, but before they did they were the sweetest mallets ever..feel free to order Innovative mallets without seeing them though..Innovative has amazing quality

Again, I only got to try out the Rosauros for a little bit (10 mintues) but I really just didnt like the shafts on the Rosauros, it threw of the whole balance of the mallet, it felt like all the weight was on the bottom of the shaft, but yes Innovative's rattan is really great! Also, I think when using Musser/Stevens grip rattans plain sucks! it doesnt work, everything is too floppy, on the flip side, I think birch sucks with Burton!
