Thanks for the advice. When I went home last weekend and tried to make a few notes out of mahogony, my Dad told me that the mahogony dust acts a lot like coal dust does. I had dug out one of those dust shields (that you see doctors and stuff wearing on tv), but I think I'm going to find a little better device to use.
As to my notes. After butchering the first three, I started do figure out what i'm doing. Now I have 3 new notes that are in tune enough to play hot cross buns. Yae! I now realize how much work goes into each marimba and have a new appreaction for them.
