What did Zivkovic play on his concert?
You're, perhaps, the 5th person I've ever met who didn't like NJZ's music, where in the other hand, I know tons of people that really enjoy it. I guess you either have to really love it (like myself) or really NOT with no "in between"... But maybe it depends on what he played that gave you that impression (that's why I ask what his program was).
If you ever want to give his music a second chance, check out his CD "In the Castle of the Mad King" or "Uneven Souls". His percussion ensemble piece "Trio Per Uno" is kick ass!! Also, his marimba duo "Ultimatum 2", and solo work w/percussion "Uneven Souls" is a great piece.... oh man, the list goes on: Funny Mallets 1 (great for starters), pretty much all of the Funny Mallet 2 book, "Ilijas"... can't get enough of him. What's everyone else think?
