Now for my two cents:
Who are YOU to say that his technique "sucks"? I'm willing to bet a years paycheck that you don't have flawless technique either, so for that matter, who are you to judge it?? HAve you ever seen Keiko Abe perform? I was one of the many privilaged individuals to see her @ pasic last year. Well, if you have, take a gander at her technique. According to "MoM", no, her technique isn't the greatest, but ya know what?? She's Keiko Abe! When you listen to her play, it doesn't matter what her technique is! It's HER technique! And when she performs, it's SOOOO beautiful! (granted, it's merely my opinion that her music is gorgeous, but an opinion that the majority of marimbists share, and that just shows that it doesn't matter regarding technique!) If the music is beautiful, play it!
No to those of you bashing one of the best percussionists in the world - I'm all for opinions, including negative ones. But you're TRULY naive, ignorant, and frankly, STUPID, enough to publicly insult someone like that, you better have a the cahones to back it up (along with some proof for that matter).
