Just an FYI...I don't think the Adams has tunable resonators either.
I mentioned this on some other posts, but I'll reiterate here. When picking out any permanent instrument, the point isn't which one is better, whether it's Yamaha vs LeBlanc clarinets, Yamaha vs Strad trumpets, or Adams vs Marimba One vs Kori vs whomever marimbas. The point is to pick the one that's best for YOU. If you feel more comfortable playing an Adams, go for it. It's definitely a good instrument. If you e-mail Robert Van Sice, (or any Adams artist) I'm sure they'll tell you why they play Adams. Play test as many different marimbas as possible to get a feel for what you like and don't like, and go from there.
