The Adams 5.0 has tunable resonators on the lowest seven (7) notes, while the Yamaha 6000 has tunable resonators on the lowest octave. Ron Samuels decided earlier this season that tunable resonators were unneccessary on the Marimba One and removed the low end adjusters. (Actually, he decided that the vast majority of players did not know how to correctly adjust the tuning and would be better off without it.)

An excellent set of bars on any marimba can be a great instrument; many sets of bars are not that good. All the rest is personal preference of minor details: cosmetics, dimensions, materials, plus some extremely subtle variations in timbre. Everyone listening will only notice that you are playing a marimba and will pay attention to whether you are a competent musician or not.
