My apologies Julia if you didn't like my conduct for some reason - but I'm not the one who got a whole CD off Napster and then wanted everyone to give you the track titles :P (And I'm largely joking around about this, don't take offense or anything)

Downloading from Napster doesn't mean I'm not supportive of the artists in other ways. Now that I've heard (and liked) Evelyn Glennie's music, for example, I am probably going to go one of her concerts, which I wouldn't do had I not sampled her music first. I've downloaded a lot of Greg Giannascoli's music on Napster, but now he's my marimba teacher and he gets paid weekly for my lessons.

Not being a professional musician, I wouldn't really know, but if it were me, I'd be overjoyed that more people were being exposed to my music through Napster. When I find tracks from the few CDs that feature me (marching, region, All-State band etc) in other people's libraries, I'm thrilled that someone is actually listening to it. But obviously, I haven't invested thousands of dollars in recording it.

Anyway, I suppose it all depends on your viewpoint. Don't tell me you've never shared a book, or a video, or a CD with friend. Well, that's what I consider Napster - sharing music with friends. Also, I don't buy the argument that artists lose money because of Napster. As I mentioned earlier, I wouldn't buy these CDs anyway - I would just go without them, so where is the lost revenue?

Ok, that's enough rambling on my part for now... again, I apologize if any of you take offense at this for any reason, but with an issue as contraversial as Napster, it shouldn't be too surprising that the discussion gets a bit heated.
