Well, I have got a funny feeling. Are we talking on the "same thing"? What is the exact definition of Burton grip? I feel that each of "Standard", "Burton", and "Musser" cover some variations of them. For example, Musser sometimes covers Stevens' version of it. In this spirit, Rosauro's grip is classified under "Burton". My wife, Junko's grip is also an extention to "Burton". I bet the same goes to Standard grips. Do all you "Standard grippers" use exactly the same grip as explained in Nancy Zeltsman's explanation? Probably not. If we do not categorize those variatons into a few categories like Standard/Burton/Musser, we end up with each person's grip. Each person has different hands. For example, a person with a small hand (like Junko) cannot quite hold the mallets like explained in Zeltsman's article. Pinky is too short to wrap around two mallets. I bet many Japanese girls are like that, and now we have another variation on the Standard grip already.
By the way, what is the most standard description of the "Burton grip" ?
