I'm looking for stickings, mallet (brand/size), and warm-up suggestions for performing Eric Sammut's 4 Rotations. I am performing the 4th Rotation for my audition.

Hit me up on e-mail or on the board.

for this movement, I used zeltsman mallets....i believe I did 1 nz4 and 1 nz3 in the left hand, and a 3 and a 2 in the right. i liked that slightly softer mallet in the bass for those tenutos, and more articulate at the top for the melody/high register.
as far as stickings are concerned sammut does a good job of beaming the stems up or down, meaning right or left hand, repsectively. other then that, taking sammut's idea of 'rotation' to heart, i used as little alternating between hands as possible....like going from mallet 4-3 and vice versa, or 2-1, and vice versa, wherever possible.
warmups? you can do some basic alternation practice, 1-2-3-4, 1-2-4-3-, etc etc, and then just pick a few hard passages, like some of the middle section, and work out exercises from that.
good luck!
if you any questions post again!
