I am writing because I am looking for a 5 octave Marimba to rent. I was recently diagnosed with leukemia, as a result I have had to withdraw from the Manhattan School of Music for at least this semester. I am a percussion performance major and my specialty is marimba. I recently won the Manhattan concerto Competition and was scheduled to perform my piece with spring, but that as been indefinately postponed. My problem is that I desparately want to continue learning and growing as a musician, but I cannot find an instrument to practice on while I am recovering at home in Denver.
